SupportWise is a collection of online courses designed to empower parents, partners, siblings and friends who are supporting a loved one experiencing an eating disorder.

Developed by psychologists with experience helping people recover from eating disorders, SupportWise courses cover the most important things you need to know to support your loved one on their recovery journey. They will help you learn more about eating disorders, what your loved one is experiencing, treatment options and practical ways for you to continue to support them through to recovery. The courses also provide information on how you can manage your own emotions and expectations and look after yourself.

 About Supportwise

SupportWise includes programs for those with a loved one experiencing an eating disorder, including:

Each program includes 6-9 modules that includes a video and reflective or thinking exercise. Each module will take approximately 20 minutes. The program is self paced, allowing you to fit it in with your schedule.

Who is SupportWise for?

SupportWise is for people supporting a loved one with an eating disorder. Specific courses have been created for Parents, Partners, Siblings, Adult Children and Friends.

How much does SupportWise cost?

Each SupportWise course costs $27 AUD.  Alternatively you can purchase a bundle of all SupportWise courses for $47 AUD.

What can I do if I need additional support?

This course has been designed for personal education and informational purposes to help equip you to support your loved one.  This course is not intended to be a substitute for professional psychological, psychiatric or medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

When does the course start?

This course is available on demand.  You can start as soon as you join. 

How much time is required to complete the course?

The course is self paced, however for best results we recommend people aim to complete the course within 2 months.

Each course includes 6 – 9 modules. Each module will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

How long do I have access to the material?

The course material is available for 12 months after you have enrolled.

Can others in my family access the program?

The membership is available for anyone living in the same household.

Which eating disorders is this course relevant for?

SupportWise is relevant for many different eating disorders. There are nine different courses to choose from – some which cover specific eating disorders and others that are more general. The courses focus on different relationships including Parents, Partners, Siblings, Adult Children and Friends
